First experiments in geometrical abstraction. In 2006 I began spending a good deal of time in New Mexico. The land, the native culture and the enduring presence of the mid century American spirit quickly soon affected my visual thinking. It's hard to describe the impetus behind these paintings... I think I wanted to weave a magic carpet.
